Naranbulag (Nara) Khukhuu is a Partner in Anderson & Anderson LLP, Mongolia. Naranbulag advises on a diverse range of cross-border corporate and commercial transactions involving foreign investment, corporate and project finances, public private partnership, tax and securities and on general compliance and regulatory matters.
In addition to her transactional practice, Naranbulag serves as an Arbitrator on the panels of Asian International Arbitration Court (AIAC) and Mongolian International Arbitration Centre (MIAC) and as a ICC Court of International Arbitration (Paris)’s Young Arbitrator Forum Regional Rep for North Asia along with acting as a counsel under various rules in international arbitration.
Her practices prior to joining the Firm include being involved in and advising on the largest project finance, the largest PPP/concession and the first wind farm deals in mine, aviation and renewable energy sectors in Mongolia and on legal reform/technical assistance projects, which involved leading multinationals such as Rio Tinto and Mitsubishi, multilateral development banks such as the World Bank, international organizations including the UN and the government.
Naranbulag is admitted to Mongolian Bar Association and certified to practice securities laws by Financial Regulatory Authority and legal translation by then Ministry of Justice of Mongolia.
Naranbulag earned an LLM degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, USA and an LLM from Queen Mary University of London, UK after completing undergraduate degrees from University of Delhi, India and National University of Mongolia. She was a recipient of Fulbright (USA), Chevening (UK) and ICCR (India) scholarships and a Young Lawyer Scholar of International Bar Association (Australia).
